Yakubu celebrates with Steve Kean

Saturday matches had a lot of surprising results. Blackburn bounced back from all the critic and beat a poor Arsenal 4-3 at home. Arsenal controlled the game but gave it all away with two own goals and poor defending. Everton showed character and got 3 important points. Norwich and Swansea got their first win of the season and climbed the table. While Bolton and West Brom where big disappointments.

QPR trashed Wolves and many of the new signings show that they have come to make an impact straight away. Everton got a solid win in the end but struggled for a long period against Wigan, but in the end they got the 3 points and have started the season stronger then in many years. Aston Villa and Newcastle drew at Villa Park and both teams are still unbeaten for the season.
